Veterans Tie-A-Thon 1000+ Flies Challenge

The WSCTU invites you to come to the DoubleTree anytime from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, January 21, 2017 to tie flies that our chapter will donate to Warriors and Quiet Waters, a Bozeman-based non-profit that brings qualified post-9/11 combat veterans to Montana for a week-long program of fly fishing and relaxation. Through donations, there is no cost to the warriors. Go to warriorsandquietwaters.org for more information. It's a great organization and program.

You don't have to be a great tier to participate. We are mostly looking for easy flies to tie such as Woly Buggers, Beadhead Nymphs, Elk Hair Caddis, Parachute Adams, Pheasant Tail Nymph and San Juan Worms and Soft Hackles. But you are free to tie what you'd like. Bring your own materials and equipment and come and go as your schedule permits.

If you can't tie that day, please bring some flies to the DoubleTree or mail them to our address on the front of the card.

Let's have a great turn out and express our support and gratitude to those who have given so much for our country!

---------------------------------

Thank you to all who donated their time and effort at yesterday's Tie-A-Thon! Along with 50 dozen flies donated by Fly Boy Angler, our total fly donation will exceed 2,000. Even more exciting, other TU chapters around the country heard about what we were doing and are tying flies to send to us to donate to Warriors & Quiet Waters Foundation! It was a fun and enjoyable way to spend a snowing Saturday for a great cause.
