Calling all WSCTU Fly Casters: Volunteers Needed for WEN's Native Fish Habitat Classes, May 1st-5th
Do you love fish? How about fly fishing and tying dry flies? Are you interested in providing an amazing outdoor experience to the next generation of fly fishers?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then WEN needs YOU on our exciting fieldtrips this May 1- 5!!
WHO: Anyone experienced with fly fishing and/or tying flies, or just willing to help some eager 7th grade students learn more about our Montana fish and their habitat.
WHAT: WEN is leading 8 classes of Washington Middle School students (7th graders) in half day fieldtrips.
WHAT: Half day or full day fly fishing experts needed for fieldtrips with The Watershed Education Network (WEN). WEN is leading 8 classes of Washington Middle School students (7th graders) in half day fieldtrips featuring Native Fish, Habitat and Fly Fishing fieldtrips.
*WEN’s fly fishing station is a split with dry fly/aquatic insect comparison and fly casting practice with rods & yarn on the ends.
WHEN: May 1-5, 2017
May 1, Monday from 9:00 - 11:30 and 12:00-2:30
May 2, Tuesday, from 9:00 -11:30 and 12:00 -2:30
May 3, Wed., from 9:00 – 11:30 and 12:00 -2:30
*NO Fieldtrips on Thursday
May 5, Friday, from 9:00-11:30 and 12:00 – 2:30
WHERE: (Double Tree) Finn and Porter’s Clark Fork River gravel bar (enter west side trail off parking lot).
NEEDS: WEN needs two people each session of the four days listed above for the dry fly /fly casting station. More are welcomed!
